Cllr Dan Dunbar Mayor of Polegate, has given his enthusiastic backing to this year’s Polegate pantomime, describing it as a “must-see event” for residents and visitors alike.
Speaking ahead of the performances, Cllr Dunbar praised the hard work and dedication of everyone involved in bringing the production to life. “Polegate’s pantomime is a fantastic tradition and a real highlight in the town’s cultural calendar,” said Cllr Dunbar. “It showcases incredible local talent, brings people together, and delivers exactly what a pantomime should – laughter, colour, music and a great sense of community spirit. I would strongly encourage everyone to come along and support it.”
This year’s production Aladdin, is the 54th pantomime presented by the Polegate Drama Group. Ten Performances will take place at Polegate Community Centre from Saturday 17th January to Sunday 25th January.
The Mayor also highlighted the importance of local arts and community events in strengthening the town. “Events like this remind us what makes Polegate special. They rely on volunteers, performers and audiences all playing their part. By attending the pantomime, you’re not only guaranteed a great time, you’re also supporting the community.”
The pantomime promises fun for all ages, featuring familiar characters, lively musical numbers and plenty of audience participation.
