Town Council Allotments

Polegate Town Council is proud to offer two allotment sites, providing residents with the opportunity to grow their own produce, enjoy the outdoors and be part of a friendly local growing community.

Due to high demand, the current waiting time is approximately 18 months to two years.  Priority is given to residents living within the Polegate parish boundary.

Cophall Allotments

Located close to the Cophall roundabout, this well-established site offers around 60 allotments in a range of sizes, making it suitable for both new and experienced growers.

Gosford Way Allotments

Situated near the Council Offices on the High Street, Gosford Way is a smaller site with 9 allotments, ideal for those looking for a conveniently located growing space.

Growing an allotment is a rewarding way to support a healthier lifestyle, reduce food miles, and connect with your local community.

Sizes Available

Our allotments are measured in rods (approximately 5 metres in length). Plot sizes vary, ranging from 2.5 to 10 rods.

Prices

• Deposit: £50 (refundable at termination, provided the terms of the agreement are adhered to)

• Cophall Allotments: £7.70 per rod per year (includes water)

• Gosford Allotments: £5.00 per rod per year
