High Street

The Town Council fund CCTV in the High Street. This is maintained and monitored by the police.

Polegate Town Council does not have access to the footage, but are able to make pre arranged site visits to the monitoring centre. The Footage is used by the police to support prosecutions, detect crime and for public safety. The monitoring complies with the code of practice.

Wannock Road

The Town Council also owns CCTV which covers the buildings, garage and play area at the recreation ground at Wannock Road. The footage is used to detect crime, vandalism and for other police incidents. The footage is monitored by the Town Clerk only and in accordance with the Town Council CCTV policy (below). The usage of the footage complies with the code of practice.

Council Offices

The Town Council also owns CCTV which covers the council buildings The footage is used to detect crime, vandalism, anti social behaviour, staff safety and for other police incidents. The footage is monitored by the Town Clerk only and in accordance with the Town Council CCTV policy (below). The usage of the footage complies with the code of practice.
