We have been informed by national highways of the following works:

A27 Folkington resurfacing – Tuesday 11 to Thursday 20 April 2023

Earlier this month we started resurfacing the A27 between Drusilla’s roundabout and Polegate, but we had to stop because of weather and maintenance work taking place nearby. We’ll soon be returning to complete this work.

We’ll start again on the evening of Tuesday 11 April and finish on the morning of Thursday 20 April. Work will take place overnight between the hours of 8pm and 6am.

To minimise disruption, we’ll work on weeknights only when there are fewer vehicles on the road. During the day we will keep the road open as usual.

 Closure information

The A27 will be closed in both directions between Drusilla’s roundabout and Polegate, weeknights from Tuesday 11 April to the morning of Thursday 20 April from 8pm to 6am the following morning.

A signed diversion in both directions will be in place from the Southerham roundabout along the A26 and A22 to Polegate. You can find a map of the route on our website: nationalhighways.co.uk/se-maintenance – once on the page just look for A27 Folkington resurfacing.

We’re contacting properties with access directly off the A27 within the closure to advise them of the support we’re providing so that they can continue to access their home or business safely during the closure.
