We have been notified by National Highways of the following works
A27 Cop Hall Roundabout – overnight closures for resurfacing
Monday 25 September to Saturday 7 October
Continuing with work to repair and maintain the A27, they will soon be carrying out resurfacing and improvements at the Cop Hall Roundabout. This will maintain safety and improve the journey for road users, while preventing the need for unplanned closures.
They’ll carry out this work weeknights between 8pm and 6am only, when there is less traffic on the road.
Closure information
Monday 25 to Friday 30 September – the following will be closed between 8pm and 6am each night:
- western side of the Cop Hall Roundabout
- eastbound A27 from the A2270 junction to the roundabout
- A22 exit from the roundabout
A diversion route will be in place via the A26 and A22.
Monday 2 to Friday 6 October – the following will be closed between 8pm and 6am each night:
- eastern side of the Cop Hall Roundabout
- A22 entry to the roundabout and feeder to the eastbound A27
- A27 entry and exit from the east (from Pevensey)
- A27 both directions from the roundabout to the A2270 junction
A diversion route for the A22 will be in place via the A22 and A26. For anyone using the A27, the diversion will be via the Golden Jubilee roundabout, A22, A2280, A2021 and A2270.
This work is subject to favourable weather conditions, for example heavy rain may affect the progress.
