We have been made aware of an upcoming road closure on the A27 junction of Brown Jack Avenue from 8pm on Saturday 12/9 until 6am on Monday 14/9.

Polegate Junction – Drainage works on Grand Parade
We are writing regarding the information we provided recently about our drainage works. We had hoped to be able to keep the junction of Brown Jack Avenue open however, this will not now be possible as there is not enough space for us to be able to work safety. Temporary traffic lights will be in use at Gainsborough Lane. I regret any inconvenience this will cause. We will be installing a safety fence, the same as the one in use between Cophall and Polegate on the junction. To do this, we will be closing the A27 between 8pm on Saturday 12 September and 6am on Monday 14 September. A signed diversion will be in place. We will try to do any noisy work before 11pm. We are sorry for the inevitable disruption. Cuckmere bus services will be affected as follows: The service 44 will enter the the estate from Gainsborough Lane, then running via Hyperion Avenue, Sunstar Lane, Golden Millar Lane, Brown Jack Avenue and Bahram Road to exit again via Gainsborough Lane. The weekend 25 and 26 services will also be affected by the closure and may be subject to late running.
