Polegate Town Council Celebrates Garden and Allotment Competition Winners
Polegate Town Council is delighted to announce the winners of its annual Garden and Allotment Competition, recognising the hard work, creativity and dedication of local residents who help make Polegate a greener and more attractive place to live.
The Mayor of Polegate, Cllr Stephen Shing, and Deputy Mayor, Cllr Dan Dunbar, toured the town during the week commencing 27th July 2026 to view the impressive entries and select this year’s winners. The judging process highlighted a wide variety of gardens and allotments, each reflecting the enthusiasm, skill and commitment of Polegate’s gardening community.
The winners were presented with their certificates on 30th July 2026, where their achievements were recognised and celebrated.
Speaking after the judging, Cllr Stephen Shing, Mayor of Polegate, said:
“It was a pleasure to visit so many wonderful gardens and allotments across Polegate. The standard of entries was exceptionally high, and it was clear that a great deal of time, care and passion had gone into creating these beautiful spaces. On behalf of Polegate Town Council, I would like to congratulate all the winners and thank everyone who took part.”
The annual competition aims to encourage gardening, promote biodiversity and recognise residents whose efforts help enhance Polegate’s local environment.
