We wish to inform residents that the Council has received the resignation of Councillor Nathan Dunbar.
Cllr Nathan Dunbar has said, “My resignation enables me to continue focusing on developing my personal and professional career preparing me for my next step.
At just 22 I’m delighted to have worked with the council and focused on in improving facilities that the town has to offer and I’m looking forward to seeing a new tennis court installed for the people of Polegate, one of the first things I motioned when I joined.
I am also proud that I could bring a national NALC Star Councils award to Polegate recognising me as ‘Young Councillor of the Year’.
I will continue to work for Polegate and support the town, its residents and the town council and hope to return to local government in the future.”
We would like to thank Cllr Dunbar for their service to the community during their time on the Council and wish them all the best for the future.
The necessary steps will now be taken to inform the Electoral Services Department and to consider the next steps regarding the vacancy, in accordance with the relevant procedures.
