The Mayor of Polegate, Councillor Stephen Shing, was pleased to officially open the Bernhard Baron Care Home Summer Fayre 2026, accompanied by Deputy Mayor Councillor Dan Dunbar and District Councillor Oi Lin Shing.
The annual Summer Fayre attracted a fantastic turnout, with residents, families, friends and members of the local community enjoying an afternoon of entertainment, activities and fundraising. Visitors were welcomed by a lively performance from the Ragged Phoenix Morris Dancers, whose colourful display helped create a wonderful atmosphere from the start of the event.
There was something for everyone to enjoy throughout the afternoon, including stalls, games, refreshments, raffles, Rosie the Grey Pony and live entertainment from Rockin’ Mike. The event provided an excellent opportunity for people of all ages to come together, socialise and support the work of Bernhard Baron Care Home.
The Mayor thanked Alexandra Woolf, the care home’s dedicated staff, volunteers and everyone involved in organising the event. Their hard work and commitment contributed to another successful Summer Fayre and a memorable day for residents and visitors alike.
The Summer Fayre once again highlighted the strong community spirit within Polegate and the care, kindness and compassion that are at the heart of Bernhard Baron Care Home. It was a wonderful celebration of friendship, community and the valuable contribution made by staff and volunteers throughout the year.
