The Children with Cancer Fund’s Run to Run event, held on Saturday 30 May 2026, brought together families, supporters and participants for a day of fundraising, fun and community spirit.
The Mayor, Stephen Shing, was honoured to attend the event, where he cheered on runners of all ages and had the privilege of presenting medals to participants at the finish line.
Speaking after the event, Mayor Shing said:
“It was a wonderful display of community spirit. It was inspiring to see so many people coming together to support children and families affected by cancer.”
The event highlighted the incredible support for the Children with Cancer Fund and celebrated the determination of everyone who took part while raising vital funds for the charity’s work.
The Mayor thanked the organisers, volunteers, sponsors and participants for making the day such a success and for their continued commitment to supporting local children and families.
