Polegate Resident Alice Baldwin celebrated her 100th birthday this week at a celebration with family, friends and local dignitaries.
Attending the celebration at Bernhard Baron Care Home was Vice Lord-Lieutenant Mrs Kathy Sambrook OBE DL who personally delivered a special card from His Majesty The King and the town’s mayor Cllr Dunbar who wished her a Happy Birthday on behalf of everyone at Polegate Council and the wider community he then presented a card and flowers to Alice.
Speaking after the celebration Mayor Cllr Dan Dunbar, said “It was a pleasure to attend Alice’s 100th celebration and to spend time with her reminiscing on her life and to hear about her active involvement within Polegate over the last 60 years including her contribution to the carnivals.”
