Notice from South East Water: Maintenance Works on Wannock Road
South East Water will be carrying out essential maintenance works on Wannock Road from 9 June, lasting for approximately three weeks.
The work involves flushing the water mains — a process that removes natural sediment by directing water through the system at high speed. While this sediment is not harmful, it may cause temporary discolouration of your water. If this occurs, we recommend running your kitchen tap until the water runs clear.
During this period, residents may notice:
-
Reduced water pressure or a short-term loss of supply, which will be temporary.
-
Water running along the road, which is a normal part of the flushing process.
-
South East Water teams working in the area. Please maintain social distancing for everyone’s safety.
Please note: the dates are subject to change. In the event of an emergency, such as a burst water main, the work may be rescheduled. We will share any updates as they become available.
Thank you for your understanding while this essential maintenance takes place.
