It was a real pleasure for the Mayor of Polegate, Cllr Stephen Shing, to attend this fantastic fundraising event alongside the Deputy Mayor of Polegate and the Mayor of Eastbourne, and to officially open the event.
Normally, smashing a car would be a very expensive business, not to mention the repair bill afterwards! But this event was a little different. Visitors could enjoy the thrill of smashing a car while helping to raise money for two very worthwhile causes: Children with Cancer and Ronald McDonald House Charities.
A big thank you to all the local businesses who supported the event, including The Ordinary Climbers, who brought along their portable climbing wall, with proceeds also going to charity.
Thank you to everyone who organised the event, took part, donated and helped make it such a fantastic community day.
A brilliant way to have fun, support some great causes and smash a car, all without the worry of a repair bill!
