We have just received notice of works over the weekend for the A27/A2270 as shown below:

 

A27 East of Lewes Improvement Scheme

Just a reminder about our works over the next two weeks (weather permitting):

 

Honey Pot Farm – Weekend works

Saturday 31 October  – starting the resurfacing of the access next to the site compound

Sunday 1 November  – laying the base and binder course

Saturday 14 November – continue to construct the new surface

Sunday 15 November –  finish

 

 

Night road closures – Please note due to other works and with permission from East Sussex County Council Highways that the diversion is:

Take the A27 to the A26 take the first exit on to the A26, follow the A26 to Newhaven then take the A259 towards Seaford and continue along the A259 until the junction with the A2270, turn onto the A2270 to your destination. To head west it is the opposite way round.

  

Utility diversions and Vegetation clearance

 Monday 2 November for four nights until Thursday 5 November between 8.00pm and 6.00am.

A27 closed between Polegate Junction and Berwick Roundabout.

Access to Stud Farm Estate from Berwick only, with escort through traffic management

 

Monday 9 November for four nights same arrangements as above.

( This is just in case the utilities work is not completed during the first week)

We will be closing the A27 overnight on Saturday 21 November between Polegate Junction and Cophall to open a new section of carriageway and move the traffic management set up.
