The Town Council is aware of scoping for a development in North Polegate near Bay Tree lane. However there has not yet been a planning application submitted. The Town Council understands that there will be a public consultation in early October in the community centre and after that an application will be submitted.
Once the Town Council receives that application, there will be a public planning committee meeting held where residents can copy us into their submissions to Wealden District Council Planning department and speak at our meeting should they wish. It is important to note that Polegate Town Council is a statutory consultee only and does not make the final decision on the application. This is decided by Wealden District Council as the Local Planning Authority.
